Must-See 3 from MLC

And just like that, a new school year is upon us!

As a teacher, you’re in charge of motivating not only yourself but also your students to get back into the swing of things. They look to you for direction, inspiration, and motivation. This month’s Must-See 3 from MLC includes three things to help motivate you to motivate your students. 

Video: A short yet powerful (and hilarious) TED Talk by Rita Pierson about believing in your students and helping them believe in themselves.

Article: A great article by Linda Flanagan that discusses ways to help students build intrinsic motivation for learning without rewards like toys or pizza. 

Book: The Most Magnificent Thing “For the early grades' exploration of character education, this funny book offers a perfect example of the rewards of perseverance and creativity.”
